Selection of Seafood: Dinner at Grico’s Restaurant

Though summer has come and gone, our chefs continue to prepare many of the dishes most commonly associated with summer, specifically seafood dishes. But did you know that many of these warm-weather shellfish favorites are actually in season through the winter?

Right now, oysters are fully in season and certain shrimp are following not too far behind. This is due to the fact that some shellfish, such as oysters, spawn during the summertime and they fatten back up during the colder months, allowing for an immaculate flavor and texture. Many regions that are home to such shellfish take advantage of the cold weather season and concoct dishes that will warm the soul, such as clam chowder or lobster bisque.

Seafood Starters

Start your meal at Grico’s off with any of our seafood creations, including cocktail shrimp, fried calamari, shrimp savoy, and a variety of uniquely prepared oysters and clams, including iced oysters, fresh clams, and two of our patrons’ favorites, oysters Rockefeller and clams casino.

Oysters Rockefeller is prepared by shucking the oysters and broiling them with bacon, spinach, and Pernot cream. Our clams casino dish is crafted by opening the clams, topping the meat with seasoned breadcrumbs, bacon, and peppers before broiling and then serving open-faced. We also serve mushroom caps, cooked perfectly and stuffed with jumbo lump crabmeat.

Seafood Sizzlers

When it comes to seafood entrees, straight off the grill, prepared to your exact specifications, we have our surf and turf, consisting of filet mignon and your choice of a half or a whole lobster. Our other seafood options are just as exquisite:

  • Fillet of Salmon served in a dill butter sauce
  • Fillet of Blackened Salmon served with a lime raspberry sauce
  • Shrimp Stuffed with Crabmeat
  • Jumbo Lump Crabmeat Casserole
  • Lobster Tail
  • Seafood Fra Diavolo, consisting of shrimps, scallops, calamari, and clams coated in a spicy sauce and served over linguine
  • Scallops with sherry cream and mushrooms
  • Chef Bill’s Crab Cakes, made with jumbo lump crab

These dishes can all be served with any of the following sides: spinach with oil and garlic, garlic mashed potatoes, or creamy risotto.
