Chicken Dishes You Can Find At Grico’s

Grico’s menu is full of delicious options, including Capellini with Meatballs and our award-winning classic red sauce to Jumbo Lump Crabmeat Casserole, and of course, many other different types of delicious chicken dishes.

The Many Chicken Dishes

Because chicken is one of the most commonly used ingredients in the world, we know we have to wow people when serving our chicken recipes. By using only the best ingredients and carefully preparing our entrees, Grico’s is consistently successful in serving delicious dinners to our guests.

Chicken Marsala

Chicken marsala is a classic, and you may see it on many menus, but you will never experience one as good as Grico’s. This dish is made by flattening chicken breasts before pan-frying them until they are golden brown. A sauce is then made using butter, mushrooms, garlic, chicken broth, heavy cream, and marsala wine as the main ingredients. Reduced to become thicker and darker, it creates a rich and sweet flavor to coat the chicken with.

Chicken Francaise

If you’re looking for a more citrusy and refreshing dish, Chicken Francaise is the right choice for you! The chicken breasts are coated in egg and flour before being fried and emerging golden brown. These are then coated in a butter, lemon, and white wine sauce called lemon beurre blanc sauce. While many others choose to serve this chicken over pasta, ours comes laying on a bed of spinach. This makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a light and tasty meal.

Chicken Saltimbocca

As of now, chicken saltimbocca may be one of the chicken dishes you’re least familiar with on our list. The main ingredient that makes this dish so delicious? Prosciutto. After lightly seasoning the chicken, it is placed into a pan to fry, prosciutto side up, and left until it’s almost cooked through.

Towards the end, it is flipped with the prosciutto side down, creating a crispy and tasty crust. Grico’s chooses to pair our chicken with spinach and fresh mozzarella for a fun twist, although these two ingredients are not always used to make this dish.

Chicken Scampi

Another classic that’s similar to Chicken Francaise is Chicken Scampi. The main difference between these two dishes is the main flavor. While Chicken Francaise is very lemony with garlic and white wine as background flavors, Chicken Scampi mainly uses a garlic, butter, and dry white wine sauce.

Lemon zest and lemon juice are then used as background flavors, giving it a slight tang. The other main difference is the consistency of the chicken itself. Francaise uses egg and flour, making more of a batter and giving it a crust, meanwhile, Scampi uses only flour and has less of a crust. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

Chicken Parmesan

Possibly the best way to eat chicken–breaded, fried, and covered with cheesy-saucy goodness–is as Chicken Parmesan. One of the keys to making this dish perfectly is the crispiness of the seasoned breadcrumb coating. To do this, our chicken breasts are fried before being baked. Once placed on a pan for baking, they are covered in cheeses and a red sauce, and then cooked to melted perfection. This dish is filling and delectable. It makes sense as to why it’s many people’s favorite.

Chicken Melanzone

Last but certainly not least is our Chicken Melanzone. While this may be another dish you are less familiar with, you will quickly develop a craving to try it. This dish once again begins with chicken flattened and fried.

Similarly to Chicken Parmesan, it is then baked in the oven as fresh mozzarella melts on top of it, in addition to sliced eggplant. Some choose to then coat it with marinara sauce, but Grico’s serves ours with a healthy helping of vodka sauce. This recipe is certainly worth the try.

Farm To Table At Grico’s

While our typical menu and chicken dishes are a crowd favorite on their own, an additional and equally impressive menu is coming to Grico’s on August 24th. This Farm To Table menu will be available every Wednesday until September 14th and will feature fresh ingredients from farms in our own area. Don’t miss out on the chance to enjoy one-of-a-kind dishes made with the finest ingredients, all while supporting your community.
